Pete Manifis, a well known Perth chef, will cook pumpkin soup from our Hokkaidos and sell it at the Truffle Kerfuffle. He's also one of the chefs at the "Variety of Chefs" dinner at the Crown Towers on July 21, along with Colin Fassnidge (My Kitchen Rules, 4Fourteen), Stephen Clarke (Clarke’s of North Beach) and Sean Marco (Crown Towers & Conventions). Organised by the Variety children's charity, this will be an evening of gastronomic delight, entertainment and fundraising – all raising funds for WA kids who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs.

Anthony Huckstep, a renowned Australian food critic and restaurant reviewer, did a little article on us in the May edition of Delicious, called "Different Strokes". We met him at last year's Truffle Kerfuffle when we got invited by the chefs to have dinner in the "moshpit" on the Friday night. Duncan Welgemoed from Africola in Adelaide used our funky pumpkins for a spectacular dish. We had a fantastic time. Thanks Huckster!
